About 20 nursing students from UCSF, USF and Samuel Merritt, along with our medical student colleagues joined the national day of protest against the American Health Insurance Plans who were having their annual convention in San Francisco. We enjoyed a picnic brunch and sign-making party in the park and then waved our signs proudly during the protest! Hundreds (thousands? who knows!) of protesters lined the streets outside of San Francisco's Moscone center including members of the California Nurses Association, California School Employees, and the San Francisco Labor Council.
